My Despondency

My Despondency

Every corner of the street, every lane has embraced the gleam of glittering light.

The echo of cheers, delight, happiness, and endless rapture is drifting in the air.

Amid the enormous crowd, hustle bustle, I am the solitary soul.

Eyes are exhausted, shedding incessant tears.

A smooth breeze entered the darkened room through the narrow space and touched my wet face.

It seemed the fearless hands willingly came to me to infuse consolation.

But my agony needed redemption from this frustrated life.

It never aspired to temporary sympathy.

Amidst the tremendous brightness, I was in quest of exploring darkness.

So that I could shed tears from my excruciating pain.

This is not the Diwali of light but the Diwali of tears for me.

I aspire to put a stop sign to my despondency forever, making my problem-ridden life a lamp and tears as a flame.
