I thought losing you,

and watching you walk away was

the hardest thing

Never had to do but

nobody told me it wasn't the worst.

The worst was

when the memories started to fade,

the worst was when I couldn't replay it in my head

because I couldn't remember what your voice sounded like,

the worst was when I couldn't remember

your touch, your scent, your taste, your laugh.

The worst was when I looked for you down the memory lane

and all that was left of you was a silhouette
