The Azure Embrace

The Azure Embrace

The pyre of winter's chill has turned to ash,

Spring's gentle hand, a vibrant palette's splash.

On Vrindavan's fields, where Holi's colors fly,

A devotee dances, painted in the sky.

Her azure cloak, the color of devotion deep,

Mirrors the boundless love her heart does keep.

Each twirling step, a whispered Krishna's name,

A symphony of surrender, a soul aflame.

Gulal's powdered rainbow paints her joyous face,

A canvas blooming with love's sweet embrace.

Indigo streaks, like Krishna's peacock plume,

Unfurl in swirls, dispelling life's dark gloom.

The cerulean sky, a vast and boundless dome,

Reflects in her eyes, where Krishna finds His home.

Cobalt hues, like Yamuna's flowing tide,

Carry her spirit, where worries gently slide.

Her anklets chime, a rhythmic, soulful song,

As dholak's beat compels her heart along.

Each pirouette, a brushstroke on the air,

A vibrant ode, a love beyond compare.

She dances with the trees, their leaves adorned,

With blossoms pink and purple, newly born.

The wind, a playful Krishna, teases her hair,

As music's magic fills the joyous air.

For in this dance, the world itself takes flight,

Painted in devotion's pure and endless light.

The colors, vibrant symbols, speak so true,

Of love eternal, a boundless, sacred hue.

This dance of blue, a yearning to transcend,

The mortal coil, where earthly worries end.

To merge with Krishna, the divine, the source,

In this ecstatic dance, a limitless course.

For Holi's spirit, it transcends the play,

Of colored powders on a festive day.

It's the burning away of ego's veil so thin,

To reveal the love that burns eternally within.

And as the dancer whirls, a teardrop falls,

A single sapphire, glistening as it sprawls.

Not one of sorrow, but of pure delight,

The union of soul bathed in Krishna's light.

So let the colors fly, let music's rhythm swell,

For in this dance, our deepest stories dwell.

A canvas painted in devotion's blue,

A love for Krishna, ever strong and true.
