Lost Paradise
Lost Paradise
There was once a lush green village
That was itself a paradise on earth
There was the serenity in the river that flowed
There was a calmness in the wind that blowed
There was the shade of enormous trees
To relish on a sultry summer noon
Juicy mangoes and the song of a cuckoo
All were Mother nature's gifts and boon
But then one day all were gone abruptly
The trees were cut, and the shade was lost
A city evolved out there, all so hastily
And gobbled up the village like a ghost
The air has lost its freshness and purity
It was a ghastly crime against humanity
Don't ignore Mother nature's advice
Join hands to regain our lost paradise.
