Lost Not Found
Lost Not Found
When we walked together yesterday,
Along the golden beach,
In the foam and the spray.
I looked at you, but you looked away.
The seagulls hung in salty air,
Kids built castles without a care,
But you gave me not a second look,
As the sea breeze, your hair,
Playfully shook.
Walking back the way we came,
Some finger-pointing, about who to blame.
Girls and boys in love, passed us by,
Reminding me, of you and I.
I remember we played that game,
The cat and mouse, lover’s game.
Though that was in younger days,
When we were a brand.
That was in younger days,
When you could find my hand.
