A Woman's Fear
A Woman's Fear
Vast stretch of darkness
Looming ahead of me
Scared I was, not of otherworldly things
But the people around me.
Whom to trust in these times
Mother told not to come home late at night
My eyes gave out my fear
He stepped up as he understood my plight
Offered me a walk to my home
Words need not be spoken
Somehow my thought was conveyed to a stranger
Which would not have been guessed by thousands known
That act from the uber driver
Build a strength within
So this is my ode to a stranger
Who stood with me through my thin.
