The Veil

Each chapter betrayed me,
layer by layer the veil is pierced.
But what could you have done.

I wore my veil like an armour,
it was you who had the power to look beyond that,
to see the real me.
But what did you do.

The veil which protected me all these years,
you reduced it to cinders,
took my defences away.

You brought back all the reasons,
the reasons which made the veil in the first place.

But remember, Oh! the one,
the veil might disappear for sometime,
but it never ceases to exist.

The veil is created again,
stronger than the last one.
And this time of iron which you will never be able to break.
