Now A Vagabond
Now A Vagabond
It was in first class
When this heart was yelled at
For coloring a sketch prior to being ordered.
So before the final bell rang
It managed to erase the sketch
And bleached its red hue as well
Waiting for the day
Someone will command,
"Color It Now".
There was a man in my family
Who liked this heart so much that
He tried to pull it out of my chest
The day he found me alone.
This heart was left that day
Feeling ugly.
But it still believed
Someone would find it beautiful.
And years later
When your heart found it
You found it different
You found it interesting
And promised to love it
Without modifications
But then things fall apart
You got mad
And you said a lot of things
That shouldn't have been said
And now
This heart
Is angry.
So this heart paints itself black
And decides
Tonight
This heart will make you jealous.
This heart is broken
But it will not shatter.
Aiming its way
To the nearest heart
It makes the first move
Because after the fight
This heart wanted to offend
Wanted to be destructive
Wanted to break
Every other heart
In this goddamned world
Just to prove a point.
Because this heart
Couldn't stand the fact
That it belonged to you.
That every other heart
Was an ineligible
Inappropriate
Inadmissible
Intolerable
Insensible
Interpretation of you.
