Burn
Burn

You dance across the eyes like a slithering snake
You sway on my mind like a whisper on the nape
You prance the heart wearing a dark black cape
What is it that you wish to convey, as you shift shape?
It’s you I wish to hold with your story untold
It’s your crux so bold, that I’m lost in the fold
It’s you, who binds my mold, with threads as fine as gold
But, I could never get a grip of the truth you wanted unfold
With the fire burning, the passion you ignite
With the fiery
red glow, you’re quite a sight
With the rings of smoke that surround your might
I can never feel your unspoken plight
A thousand fires burst as the clock unwinds
The flames rise and fall and put me in a bind
Their grip so fierce, but their beauty so kind
Like manna from the heaven you burn my mind
Now I know what you truly mean
Without this truth what a void I had been
Like the throes of birth, you have wiped me clean
My mind’s on fire now, as I wake from my dream.
