Longing

Memories creep in, and sorrow alone,

With moments of love that are now unknown.

The pain in my heart cuts like a knife,

As I long for your touch, that once brought me life.

But now I stand here, in this darkened night,

With no one to turn to, no shining light.

The emptiness echoes, within my soul,

As I search for your love, that once made me whole.

The tears do fall, like rain from the skies,

As I mourn for your love, that once brought me life.

But in this lonely void, where no one can hear,

I must find the strength, to conquer my fear.

Though my heart does ache, and my spirit does mourn,

I'll hold onto the hope, that we will again be born.
