Indian Citizen

To be an Indian citizen,

And to pass on its richness to future.

It means to be a part of a great legacy,

It means to uphold the values that define,

Our nation, that are rooted in compassion and shine.

It means to be tolerant and open-minded,

To respect the beliefs of all, unconfined.

It means to be selfless and giving,

And to strive for the betterment of all living.

It means to be a patriot and a global citizen,

With a sense of responsibility and decision.

It means to be an Indian, with all your heart,

And to play your part in shaping a harmonious chart.

Being an Indian citizen is a privilege,

And with it comes a duty, to uphold and relish.

For it is the values that define our nation,

That make us one and bring us salvation.
