Life Beyond Marriage

Life Beyond Marriage

She was forced to marry a man before her graduation.

In her late teens, was it possible to have responsibilities' information?

Curious was she, to study and become an office-going-lady.

But her in-laws' treated her as nobody.

Sitting in the corner, she used to cry for hours.

Not even once her husband bought her flowers.

'Everything will be fine' said she, to her poor and helpless mother.

But how long is she going to suffer from no one to bother?

Months passed, festivals passed, she did not wear a new dress.

She lived with and in the mess.

She cooked, cleaned from morn tonight.

Still hoped for things to get right.

Once she gained all the courage to say.

They slapped her and asked them never to leave the house even during the day.

Suffering and growing with the pain, after years, she had children to take care of.

Like the father, the children too, disobeyed her every time, everywhere.

Nothing changed, she grew fragile and pale.

She lived to handle her household, inhale and exhale.

Her dreams remained incomplete like her life.

What not she did to become the best wife?

To my readers, life is too short to live on other's terms and conditions.

A woman is very strong, she doesn't need permission.

A wife, like a husband, can even do the impossible.

A wife can work outside and inside her home, achieve her goals, still can act humble.

Such can be a woman, wife, mother!
