Let Morning Be More Than a Word
Let Morning Be More Than a Word
"Good morning" flies from every phone,
A text, a tap, a daily cue—
But soon the warmth is overthrown,
And duty dulls what once was true.
A mother waits, her heart still kind,
For just a voice, not lines on screen—
She spent her years to shape your mind,
Yet now must guess where you have been.
A friend receives your morning cheer,
But wonders why you never stay—
A word once sweet, now insincere,
When silence fills the rest of day.
So call, not just to claim their ring,
But ask if they are truly fine.
Let noon or evening softly bring
The gift of speech, a warmer sign.
For texts are typed with little cost,
But touch is felt in tone and care.
In all this noise, let’s not be lost—
Be human. Speak. Just truly share.
