DESIRING RETROUVAILLES
DESIRING RETROUVAILLES
Someday somewhere we shall own a glance;
Perhaps few moments of a fascinating trance;
Shall drive us maudlin into each other's yearning arms,
And be sublimely engrossed in one another's enthralling charms.
Someday somewhere over vast swathes of green meadowlands,
We shall walk umpteen miles holding our hands,
And sing aubades of concupiscence beneath the azure skies,
Drowning each blink into the abyss of our lubricious eyes.
Someday somewhere we shall build castles of our love,
And dwell amid crimson clouds above.
And to sullen winds we shall chaffer tales of amour,
Before we dribble down as rains over the arid shore.
Someday somewhere people shall reminisce our story,
To them we shall be divine idols of glory.
We preached love to heal each wounded heart,
And still as silhouettes of grace we wander in our unseen cart.
Someday somewhere again we shall be born,
And grow beneath the brightest glimpse of the morn.
Oodles of unfulfilled desires that remained back in yore,
Shall be consummated in bliss; o'er this novice human shore.
