The Farmer's Struggle

The Farmer's Struggle

The hardwork may seem so easy,

You never know how much we remain busy,

Years of struggle that we have to do,

Do you understand what we really undergo?

A friend ended his life 2 days back,

Money and recognition was what he lacked,

His work was never appreciated,

Probably that was the reason why he ended.

The grains that we make for you,

Aren't they enough to feed you?

How much does it take to appreciate a little,

Promise, we won't ask for any title.

We are innocent, we are lone,

Doesn't your heart ache when you throw a stone?

Doesn't our existence matter anything to you?

Or are we just workers to you.

Our contribution in the nation building was never apprehended,

The source to your kitchen was never accredited,

The filled stomach never knew the process,

You can only sit at homes to watch screens and clap at the progress.

The bottom layer of advancement have been forgotten,

Along with tractors and fellow oxen,

There can be still a chance for us to rise,

Only if you support us whether you eat pies or rice.
