Woman
Woman
Poem by Akila Victoria Martin
With hands that heal and hearts that care,
She lifts the world yet feels despair. A mother’s love, so deep, so wide, Yet burdens press she cannot hide.
On paths of light and nights so cold,
She fights with fire, yet breaks when told.
A daughter bright, a sister strong,
A wife who rights what once was wrong.
Mistakes may wound, yet still she tries,
Through loss she soars, through pain she flies.
A mentor wise, a guide so true,
She builds the dreams of me and you.
As daughter-in-law, she walks with grace,
In love she finds her sacred place. Through highs and lows, through joy and strife,
She weaves the song that shapes a life.
No chains can bind, no walls restrain,
She falls, she stands, she loves through pain.
A warrior bold, yet soft inside,
A force of strength, a world’s true guide.
