Kingdom

“The crown comes with price”, they say.

But unfortunately, or fortunately, it has landed on me.

How do I give up on it?

How long can I run away from it?

“A queen can never be happy”, they said.

You are always somebody’s sore spot.

But how do I give up?

How do I give up on the hopes of my kingdom?

The hopeful eyes of elderly, the women, the men and the child are looking at me.

This kingdom has nursed me.

And I should stand up for what they deserve.

The weight of the crown is quite heavy.

But not something I cannot carry.

So, I will not give up.

For I want to stand up for what my people deserve.
