Journey Of Greed

My journey began,

In search of money, which soon

Turned into a desire for more.

And more, and more, and more.

I travelled in a path 

With many wonders,

I simply failed to recognise.

But soon all left my side.

Time seemed endless, 

Yet it was running out.

Although I had all the luxury,

Something was missing within.

The chase continues on and

Sudden regret washes over me.

Ignorance left me in a blink,

And reality punched me in the face.

It's my time to leave now,

I look back once to glance,

At the wealth that I've achieved,

But everything else I've lost.

My journey began,

And it soon ended.

It was too late for me,

To realise and redeem myself.
