I Wish

Busy on those streets we roam,

Boasting on things we've got on loan,

Sleeping on beds made out of foam,

Nothing to laugh, nothing to moan.

Never did good, never did bad,

Today I cry, today I'm sad,

I remember those days I used to laugh,

Holding my mom, punching my dad.

Childhood was a dream come true,

I wish I could stick to it with a sturdy glue,

Worries were delusions, mom's fairies were true,

Landscapes with two mountains and a sun I drew.

I wish life gave me another chance,

To feel that breeze, to do that dance,

To kill those monsters in the cornered closet,

Scaring me, disturbing my sleepy romance.

Every morning I get up and pray,

If I could, If I may,

I wish I could get that one real smile,

I wish I could relive that one day.
