I wish

I wish

I wish I could smile, draw the curtains and see light again,

The light you deemed on your way out,

You stole my sanity corrupted it with hate,

Pardon me I still hang on your dreaded love.

A day like today, a dead day like this,

You spit my heart pieces and scattered them at sea,

Drew me six feet under and dinned with my ghost,

The last supper must have smelled death.

Was stupid and loved blindly,

I still hold on to the piece of you left behind,

Sorry, you died today was the requiem mass,

I should leave you for the dead probably the grave is accommodating.

Wish I never traded my heart for love,

My pillows wouldn’t have soaked that much,

I would have enjoyed the cool of day and night,

The ambiance of luck and peace.

Another walk in the abyss my home for ages,

My spirit is cursing your ghost,

Wish I could change time and make amends,

Then I would be a free bird hunting sanity.
