The Story Of Christmas Flower
The Story Of Christmas Flower

THE STORY OF THE CHRISTMAS FLOWER
One wintry snowy day
The church was filled with church goers
‘Twas Christmas Day
The crib of King Christ was filled
With throngs of good pious devotees
Harkening like angels around him
And the three Holy Kings
With their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh
Whilst holy shepherds bowing
Humbly before the Baby King
As Mary and Joseph
Nodded twain ‘Yes’ to the little baby’s
Precious head
Beside the hay bed
To the tunes of drummer boy play
Pa rap pa pum pum pum
Whilst the cattle and sheep
Also surrounded the sleeping prince
To honour with love and peace
Nodding their innocent heads
The crib was filled with people
Both rich and poor
To fill it with gifts heavy laden
Each one carried boxes of best presents
They trundled along with bows and ribbons
To drop beside the holy prince
There were boxes of porcelains, knives, spoons and forks
There were bells to decorate his Christmas Tree
Twinkling fairy lights, stars, holly, mistletoe and tinsel
That flickered away and glistened
Like a flight of friendly ghost dragons
With gleaming eyes full of sparkles
Pretty Angels and Nutcrackers decorated around
The hung up reindeers and sugar plum Ballerina dolls
Dancing to the twilight song and glittery morning stars
Even Ginger man cookies and pretzels
To decorate the gingerbread house
Also wafted its aromatic scent through the air
Baubles as big as magic glass Christmas Balls
That showed everyone in their lens
Circling around baby Jesus in the crib
Snowflakes and icicles as big as frosty chicken and hens
Boxes and trays were filled with taffy’s and marshmallows
Even the best chocolates and brandy cakes
Bottles of gin, wines, whiskeys and champagnes
Baskets of fruits an array
Pineapple, custard apples, cherries, bananas and apples
One couldn’t lay off eyes on the
Turkeys, Pheasants, Roast Suckling’s with
Blue glycerine called teardrops
Filled in trays with giant turnips, potatoes and beets
And sweet spice rice full of
Cashews, walnuts, plums, apricots and raisins
For Christmas feasting!
Toys galore, coats, sweaters and dresses
Fancy bibs, socks and jumper suits for little baby
Even candles in six different colours
Each bearing a love flame
Throughout the rest Christmas Season
As well as during Epiphanytide...Candlemass
A green candle symbolising faith
Blue candle symbolising hope
Gold candle symbolising love
White candle symbolising peace
And a purple candle symbolising repentance
A red candle symbolising communion
All six candles of the Advent Wreath
That was lit up
For the coming of Jesus Christ!
Now around the corner
Was a poor little boy named Ashley
Who loved adventures and loved Jesus Christ
He wished to gift the Prince of Peace a gift
Though hadn’t even a single dime
But didn’t have the slightest inkling
What gift could he possibly bring?
For the precious King
Till he turned his penniless pockets upside down
In his hand me down Mohair Jacket
Wishing for silver guineas to buy a special gift
Only a shilling or pence
For the Christmas King
Maybe a red Rose he thought, or a white lily
A jasmine, geraniums or a golden buttercup
But he thought and thought so very hard
That soon fell into a deep sleep
Beside the gurgling icy fountains
Frozen in the snow
Along the angel grotto of Mary’s Statuette
As he slumped upon a stump
Nearby the sodden rock
He dreamt an adventure in the mist
Of a foggy land
No boy would want to miss one
As special as this
An enchanting dream to treasure
By every adventurer
Hoping to gift something special for the King
He dreamt of a strange foreboding place
As he ventured his torn garments
Indeed changed to royal togs
He carried a silvery lance in one hand
And a shield in the other
He wore a crown around his head
A golden circlet
Embedded with rubies galore
And even had a golden robe that fell upon
His curly bold gold locks on his rubicund face and head
With a special helmet of honour
That hid the strength that filled
His heart inside the Princely vest and armour
All virtues invisible to naked eye
You will soon learn as the story proceeds
As invisible as the inevitable blowing dragon ghosts
Of morning breeze
That enveloped along the chilly air
The sleeping poor boy dreaming in his sleep
Soon Prince Ashley met for real
Three Christmas Dragon ghosts
They promised him they wouldn’t let a soul know
They were on a mission to help him
Find the Christmas Gift to give the King
For they too were off to the village
To get a special gift for them as well as
For the prince in the crib
The funny Christmas Dragon Ghosts
Were named Peace, Love and Joy
Surely they would give him an invisible ride
Upon their grizzly shoulders
Though the Christmas Dragon Ghosts were invisible
Prince Ashley could very well see them through his naked eye
High above the thicket of the forest glen they flew him over
However they’d have to pass through
Its greedy hamlet
Where lived an old devil Hate
To get to tother side
Would be a challenge I bet!
Because it would rub the old demon
The wrong way
To see them fly through his forest glen
As he was burning always with hate and jealousy
And loved to make people of his hamlet
Just like him
An example of dishonesty and meanness
Cold hearted iron men
Flying through the glen of sadness and pride
For the devil Hate
Hated the good Kind Prince of Peace and love
And anyone who wished to patronise him with
Christmas spirit of giving gifts
Like an Ebenezer Scrooge
Of Christmas Carols or the Green Grinch!
And his ghosts of Christmas
Jacob Marley and the Christmas spirited dragons
Of past, present and future yet to come
With their chains and handcuffs
And their prongs and horns
So said they to Prince Ashley
“Come along and we shall fly you
With our invisible wings of
Christmas Dragon Ghost spirits
So you too shall turn invisible
Just like one of us
Even though our name spells ghosts of good cheer
For the broken hearted and sorrow laden
Here in the land of Hatred
We shall overcome fear
Win love over all misfortunes in the end
And bless all with hope to accomplish
What they came here for
So come with us now
Dear Prince Ashley
Let’s ride the clouds of tar and black smoke
Victory in the end over our fight with the devil
To find light at the end of his dark dungeon
Tunnels”
As they swooshed through the nasty jungle
One could hear the horrid demon
Full of hate
Moan, grumble, snore and rumble
Belabour in his sleep
“MONEY MONEY MONEY”
Was all he dreamt of and nothing else mattered
For he believed love and peace
Was a curse, faith and hope merely Ballyhoo
And Humbug.......
He exhorted to everybody in Hatred Valley
“Nothing or nobody
Beside Money shall give my people sleep
No! Not even a single sweet dr
eam
Only one filled with nightmares
And blind ponies galloping
Filled with my foul breath full of HATE!”
For his strange hamlet of Hate
Was filled full of Money trees
Growing only notes, dollars and coins
Even people who lived here
Looked like bills and receipts
The little shops of the strange Hamlet Hate
Sold only chunks and blocks
Of Gold and Silver nuggets
With labels meant for their greedy folks
Named ‘Gold Diggers’
However the ghost Christmas Dragons
Named Love, Peace and Hope
You could also call Peace, Love and Joy
Upon eyeing their golden and silver biscuits
All of demon’s Hate fruits of unenlightenment
And benightment
Made them ravenously hungry
Till they finally
Swallowed up every gold and silver biscuits
Happily one by one
Not a bit of it remained
They finished to full tilt ‘Greed’ of the busy
‘Gold Diggers’ that looked like receipts and bills
And their recipes that spelled Disaster
In the glen of sadness and pride
They had a lot of swallowing to do
The folks of the strange land
A bit swallowing pride and sadness
Down their throats
For mysteriously losing their precious
Priceless biscuits of gold and silver bar bells
By the invisible ghosts of mockery
The Gold Diggers looked shameless though
Because all they thought about was
More and more Money and gold
It soon woke up the devil Hate
And with all his gut feelings
Knew at once it was the Christmas Dragon Ghosts
Who had finished all his silver and golden nuggets
His sorry business was no more
He awoke with rage and ire
And red coal eyes gleamed like fire
Wishing to spew out flames through his nostrils
And kill all our invisible heroes
But Prince Ashley took up the cudgels
Luckily his invisible shield was a magical one
He fought the Devil Hate tooth and nail
Along with the Enchanted Christmas Ghost Dragons
Breathing invisible ghosts fumes of fire around
The evil demon
More mightier and flaming than his
This was because
They consumed all his biscuits of gold
And silver called Greed and Sloth
The demon Hate melted like an alloy
By the Christmas Dragon Ghosts smouldering breath
Which was more hot and smoking that his
Breath of hells molten lava
Burned him down like fuel to a fire
That could never quench its greed
For more and more money, gold, silver
And material things
Alas! Piteous human nature that would never satisfy
All things contemptuous and despicable
Leading to moral degradation and guilt
Lies over truth
Glutton over abstinence
Hate instead of Love
But Victory hailed the four blessed pilgrims
You wouldn’t believe the old devil Hate turned
To golden bricks
That fell to the ground in heaps
Proving he was nothing but an evil contorted dream
Soon Prince Ashley
And the Christmas Dragon ghosts
Wooshed away at once
Flying again over rivers and mountains
Of faith, hope and charity
Like a sierra of cutlass blades
Till they decided to rest at the tip
Of the highest mountain peak of the strange valley
On its tip was a patch of snow
As well a patch of a garden
They saw silver and golden pennies
Growing in a little red heart
As soon as they plucked this beautiful flower
From the sodden valley
Its little bunch turned to the loveliest bracts
Almost twelve of them
And petals of a Christmas Flower
They named ‘Coinsettia’s’
This would be a splendid gift for the King
Or the Prince of Peace
They all agreed shaking their noggins together
Then flew by a beautiful fairy her good name Poinsettia
And rechristened the Christmas flower
With her lovely name
The bouquet flower they carried in their hands
Would bring joy, love and peace
Just like the Christmas Flaming Dragon Ghost Tongues
In a foreign language
How glad were the four of them
To take it back home with them
Finally they found the meaning of the Christmas flower
The gift
Christ Red Hearts
That meant sharing
The Christmas spirit of giving what
You were blessed with
To spread
Virtues of love, peace, hope, contentment
Courage, humility, honesty, patience, perseverance
Charity, wisdom, wit and truthfulness
Like the twelve bracts of Christmas Petals
On the Holy Christmas Flower
In tongues of Christmas Ghost Dragons
Winning hate with love
Sorrow with joy
And pride with humility and kindness
To defeat the horrid demon of HATE
We all made him up because we only loved material things
Now reached the boy Ashley
His feet on the ground
In the little grotto of Mother Mary
And looked at her statue with love
He finally had woken up from his strange dream
With a smile on his tainted lips
His lovely adventure he would always
Remember and cherish
Still swishing his invisible cutlass in the air
Soon in the corner of the snowy blanket
He saw a bunch of ‘Coinsettia’s’ growing
Which the fairy christened with her name
Beautiful ‘Poinsettia’
Silver and golden pennies in a little red heart
And happily plucked them from the ground
It symbolised Christ’s Heart
Full of spirits of shining Christmas pennies
So golden and silver
The twelve blessed virtues of goodness
Like the burning flames of tongues
The three dragons of Peace, Love and Hope breathed
Had caused to end the valley of Hatred
And the people full of sadness and pride
Began to repent and make amends
Now people looking like receipts and bills
Stopped to collect from the magic patch
That grew on
Upon the highest peaks of strange sierra of cutlass mountains
Of Faith, Hope and Charity!
They climbed to overcome zealously
Their cumbersome adventure and transform themselves
Into Christmas Spirits of Giving
Instead of greed, sloth, pride and animosities, now
Fairies with magic wands grew up
Seeing their true faith and courage
Called Beautiful ‘Poinsettia’s’
Christmas Flowers with silver and gold pennies
Ashley took the flowers and lay it down beside the holy crib
Felt richer than any man alive
His gift was known by all to be the gift of giving
The CHIRSTMAS SPIRITS
The beautiful strange story
And true meaning of the enchanted Christmas Flower
We celebrate by eating the body of Christ
The Holy Eucharistic Host during communion mass
The Beautiful Fairy christened
Into his Magic Christmas flower
Named Poinsettias
Meaning Red Heart of Jesus Christ!
To spread the twelve bracts of blessing
Its Christmas spirits
Around the flames of Candlemas Yuletide
Hidden inside our hearts as we share with
Every friend and family member
Bringing fresh the true meaning
Of the Christmas Ghost Dragons
Leaping tongues of flames
In a different language
‘Paix, amour et hope”
Meaning Peace Love and hope Or
‘Paix, armour et joie’
Meaning Peace Love and Joy
The names of the three Christmas ghosts
Of the Past, present and future
Of A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens!
