I Know I Wish

I wish I was a flower

Not a tulip or a rose

But a weed in the garden

That strives and overgrows 

I wish I was a Granite rock

With all the fancy lines

And when you crack me open

You will see that time lurks inside

I wish I was the ocean

Vest and expansive

Where all life once came from

But now on land Man is king

I wish I was a butterfly

With pretty fluttering wings

Flying high in the sky

Then land on a tree

I know I am the wolf inside

I see the moon and howl

I don't have a pack to run with'

I am running on my own
