Summer Rain

Summer Rain

Heat is on! Heat is on!

Summer has arrived at the door again.

Like an unloved frequent who banged sudden,

In search of his beautiful bride companion,

Abducted by envious Spring to oblivion.

Sad Summer went to the heartless Autumn.

He refused to help him, chased away stern.

Poor Summer cried and cried, cursed his omen.

Days passed, weeks elapsed in grief vermilion

What to do? Helpless wandered on the ivory plane.

Asked everyone who met him including all men.

Begged to sparrows, cried to the pigeon,

Beseeched to animals but all in vain.

One day, he saw a dancing silver moon.

Queried her about his lonely lone companion.

She took time to reply, ditched in stars billion.

Alas, no trace of his bride Hellenic rain.

Once he saw the blazing golden Sun.

Flew above skies to reach hot medallion.

As he neared the Sun, he lost his child noon.

Lost his life in blazes of Sun's rays golden,

But his soul could arrive at the Gods heaven.

Harsh to world yet heart filled with compassion,

Blessed his life and told him to return.

Called the Water to help him through a summon.

In blue attire, she indeed came sudden,

To help the poor Summer in nature Eden

It fell from skies like falling Rain.

Dancing singing to the sacred holy hymn,

Without a break from dusk to dawn.

It rained and rained until he found Monsoon.

At last, Summer found his lost bride crimson.

Thus elated Nature, every woman, and man.
