My Valentine

You are a woman of substance,

And I mean no nonsense.

Gratitude to you for your presence by my side,

The time when I was all entangled inside.

Those lovely words,

You call to say every day.

The words ‘I Love You”,

Makes every minute of my day.

Hand in hand

You walked beside me,

You are the woman

Who is most special to me.

You always seem to know

When I need a cuddle, caress or smile…

You never cease to astound me, when you say,

“I'm here…Let's tête-à-tête for a while.”

Decades have past, of ups and downs,

And problems a galore

You are the only one

Who never thought

Of walking out the door.

You sweep me off my feet, When

When the words said to me by you:

“You are forever my best friend,”

I adore and I believe in you…

And that you will stand by me till the end.

I bow before you for the times you shared with me

And for saying, “It's never enough…”

Lending me your ears, as I saunter on…

The path that’s fairly tough.

Journeying together is the best years of my life,

Looking back, I never ever thought you would be mine.

The only words express in my life,

Ever and Ever, only You remain,

‘My Valentine’.
