Language And Identity
Language And Identity
Are you recognized by your language?
Are you recognized by your identity?
Language is a body of words and phrases.
Identity is a body of structure built and faces.
States, Cities, Countries all divided due to language,
Identity created due to language.
Where is your individual identity?
Are you aiming at family identity (like the Bachchans)
Or, at the city identity (like Goans)
Not happy, aiming at country identity (Indians).
Does your identity remain if your language is lost?
Time and again, it has been proved
That your language is superseded by,
The forced use of the foreign tongue,
Shunning all that is mine!
What remains? Language or Identity!
Or, lost Both ...
No. One thing still exists still with the
Ladder of Language and Identity
Any idea, No! How about Humanity?
We quarrel, that is my language, and this my identity.
No one claims language and identity has created humanity.
Language lost, where is your identity?
Identity lost who knows you?
Presume you don't know any language (like Mowgli)
Lost is your identity -
What remains?
Language and Identity are
Spouses, giving birth to Humanity.
What will be left if you separate,
Language from Identity.
Nothing, but destruction of Humanity.
Language lost, Identity lost.
Identity lost, humanity lost.
What are you? Or Who are you?
Not even a SPECK on the alphabet 'I'
