Freedom In A Cage?

Freedom In A Cage?

How melodious the bird sings!

That's locked inside a metal cage.

Now, useless are her strong wings,

Cursed fate triggers her inner rage.

Intolerant, she pecks the iron rods,

But it doesn't even cause a scar.

Then looks deep in the sky for gods,

And sings a song that echoes far.

Was she destined to be a captive?

Can't humans feel her great pain?

Caging her in, what's the main motive?

Is it for decoration? Or freedom in a chain?

Alas! How cruel and paradox it sounds,

Caging a life in bars for love and care.

This deed of a human really astounds,

If it was for me, I wouldn't even dare!
