A SALUTE TO THE NATION
A SALUTE TO THE NATION
India's a home to countless souls,
For her humanity, this poet extols.
There's none like her, she's the last piece,
Abundance of happiness, it'll never cease.
Ruled by a mundane soul that's ordinary,
Yet his deeds and thoughts; extraordinary.
Not an ounce of doubt in his leadership,
The right captain of India; the mighty ship.
He sails her through varied moods of oceans,
Without triggering any negative emotions.
The vessel's contents; all happy and calm,
For the captain's bestowed them with his charm.
She has never failed to set an example,
For other nations to follow: her deeds ample.
I'll not forget to glorify her with my verses,
And to salute her beside keeping at bay; the curses.
