Dream Of A Poet

I always had a dream to be a poet,

So, toiled day and night; didn't stay quiet.

Read a lot of poems and their styles,

Tried writing on my own, many trials.

The first trial bribed me to surrender,

But my determination was my defender.

Gave another trial; seemed a little better,

It wasn't the best, but it didn't matter.

I kept my passion burning high and bright,

Hoping that one day I'd see the poetic light.

Penned some verses, it was a great try,

The feedback I received made me fly high.

The dream to become a poet; did succeed,

Passion and determination are what you need.
