Deadly Alive Heart

Deadly Alive Heart

Behind that jaw aching smile, hid a veneer of sadness,

Gnawing at her night after night, as her pillow soaked all the drops of pain that she let out,

And with the break of a new dawn, a smile ready on her lips,

Eyes decked with kohl, but those eyes had no light in them,

Slipping on a full sleeved dress to hide the bruises on her arms, she looked at the mirror,

The tears had dried up, but had left her eyes puffed up,

The ordeal of the previous night, when she'd been tormented relentlessly refused to fade,

The scars turned crimson but didn't vanish into the oblivion,

A constant reminder of the pain she'd borne,

Her hand slightly brushed against the table, and she winced in pain,

The darkness of the previous night had lingered ,

Trailing behind into this sunny morning too,

Her lips , swollen from the slaps that had been painted on her face every night,

The faults she couldn't find but was being punished for, made her quiver with fear,

Every staggering step she took, unable to keep her feet on the ground ,as it hurt badly,

Night after night, the pain numbed her of her senses, she didn't weep anymore,

Her lips had been sealed forever just trembling with an unimaginable fright,

Her voice didn't even come out in the open to moan in pain,

The scars telling a story that wanted to make a deafening roar,

Enough to wake up people from their slumbers,

But sadly, there was nothing but a deadly silence ,

Where she was killed even as her heart continued to pump blood..........
