We met over the internet

Me from the east, she from west

Happy that our kids had met

Had decided they would wed

Two soul sisters of a different race

Bared our souls, no secrets withheld

Our hearts entwined like creepers  

Became forever friends

We understand each other best

Though from different continents

Though born from different parents

We share the same wavelengths

We wash our dirty linen not publicly

But restricted to letters exchanged 

Through email, WhatsApp, to which

Nobody has access; password protected 

There is complete trust between us

Full confidence in each other

Neither of us will ever utter

Dark secrets confided without fear
