Are We Really Free?

We love our country and freedom is our right,

It makes our future bright.

We all are indebted to an earlier generation,

Who gave us the liberated nation.

Still, many Indians cannot enjoy freedom,

As they have social barriers to overcome.

It makes us think, do we actually have freedom?

Our country is independent,

Still, girls to school are not sent.

So, do we actually have independence?

Female foeticide is faced each day,

While men can always do their way.

Girls are not considered equal to boys,

They cannot have any joys.

So, do we really have independence?

Children cannot go out without any elder,

And the world is growing unsafer and wilder.

Many children are starving to death,

Some people don’t get proper food to maintain their health.

So, do we actually have independence?

Our country has such a good culture,

But some people are destroying them like a vulture,

So, do we actually have #FreeIndia?
