An Ode to Nature

Every while I turn my eyes about ,

Embraced, am I, by loving thoughts of you,

Born on the laps of Mother Earth,

You'll be my companion unto death.....

A dazzling morn with crimson hues,

Renders an aura of hopes anew,

A gleaming sky with pristine views,

Ushers an era of festive fervour,

Scintillating with renewed vigor...

A dense canopy of exotic greenery,

Lends an umbrage to soothe,

The lush meadows extend,

A blissful vista to behold,

Proliferating joy manifold....

Pearls of dew glisten with elan,

Atop beautifully structured foliage,

Drenched in ethereal charm,

With a mystical visage,

Transcending images of elegance...

Glaciers alight on a journey,

Destinations unknown,

Flowing along varied terrains,

A chirpy gang of droplets,

Jostling amidst amicable banter...

Pebbles, soft and smooth,

Cushion a frolicking stream,

Boulders huge and mighty,

Pepper cascading drops,

Propelling a fine spray of mist....

Navigating perilous paths,

Meandering along narrow crevices,

Yet never abandoning soulmates,

To witness a promising rendezvous,

Between heavens and earth....

Soothing pellets from far beyond,

Trickling down window panes,

Saturating floral petals,

Imbuing them with surreal beauty,

Sereneness that lasts for eternity.....

Far beyond, a deep silhouette,

Winged wonders wind up the day,

A silvery shroud ascends aloft,

A luminous crescent throne,

Awaiting the king, Almighty....

Never cease to amaze one,

These myriad arcs of rainbows,

Creatures of countless shapes,

Butterflies, peacocks or spiders,

All wonders, the heart beholds....

A legacy exquisitely bestowed,

Upon us by venerable forefathers,

Indebted are we, to preserve,

To bequeath to the future,

To beings that deserve....

Inebriated by lust for power,

Man is running amok all over,

On a mindless, pathetic rampage,

Blissfully ignorant of consequences,

Of treachery spanning ages....

Timely alerts trickle in,

Sending waves of apprehension,

Come a calmer situation,

We tend to forget the warning,

Oblivious to the ruination....

Hoping for a change of tide,

A gradual, consistent feat,

Restoring the plundered wealth,

Which was never ours, to begin with....
