A return trip to Motherhood,

A journey so complex yet delightful,

An experience, sublime but a revelation,

A bond that strengthens every step......

Wading in mundane miseries

Of an inconsequential existence,

My life discovered a new meaning,

A purpose that holds me aloft.......

Innumerable challenges ahead,

Threatening to usurp the bond,

Each intrriguing discovery leads to,

A lesson that unravels before me....

Ignorance moots disappointment,

Yet those soulful glances penetrate,

Melting meaningless resolutions into,

A wave that wraps me with love....

With a single wag of a furry tail,

A potpourri of emotions engulf me,

An affectionate plea in those eyes,

Warmly tugging at my heartstrings.....

One moment of childish mischief,

The next, of mature understanding,

An instance of mild stubbornness,

Yet another of ecstatic playfulness....

An angel from above and beyond,

On a mission of resolute love,

Wielding a magic wand of warmth,

Exclusively for me and my kin....

May never achieve intellectually,

May not physically prove her loyalty,

Yet she will remain for eternity,

Touching our lives with her innocence....
