Being Myself
Being Myself
Be kind, said they,
Kindness dissolves rocks,
I try and intend to,
A smile, a considerate word,
Empathy and helping hand..
Be strong, said they,
Strength wins battles,
I try and intend to,
A resilient, tolerant outlook,
A forgiving, poised demeanor...
Be brave, said they,
Bravery fights all odds,
I try and intend to,
Facing challenges head_on,
Unperturbed, self-assured......
Be bold, said they,
Boldness upholds justice,
I try and intend to,
Trying to defend one's rights,
To set things right....
Be determined, said they,
Determination breaks barriers,
I try and intend to,
Persevere on and on,
Hurtling away hindrances.....
Be fit, said they,
Fitness ensures longevity,
I try and intend to,
Be sound of mind and body,
Enhancing spiritual well-being...
Be this, be that, said the rest,
I endeavored to be the best,
I lost myself in the maze,
Found myself in a haze,
Why can't I just be myself?
Enlightenment dawned,
Maybe I just need to let go,
Of this mindless obsession,
Pieces of a jigsaw puzzle,
Naturally, fall in place...
God's creations so unique,
Each precious on its own,
An invaluable addition,
To his vast collection,
A masterpiece par excellence...
Sculpted with the utmost care,
With loads of intuition,
Every curve a stroke of genius,
Groomed with delicate fingers,
Set ablaze with resplendence...
