Cry Of Agony
Cry Of Agony
My arms lay bare.....
Caressed by winds they danced,
Twirling every limb with poise,
With natural grace they moved,
Wrapped in hues of green,
Those graceful moves halted
Abruptly, my arms lay bare....
My heart bleeds .....
A soul that protected, cared,
With every vein coursing through,
Bending over-exhausted beings,
Embracing with the warmth of love,
Yet, struck down by avarice
Remorselessly, my heart bleeds....
My body collapses.....
Shorn of splendour of a bygone era,
Yet clutching at straws of survival,
A crying remnant of a glorious past,
I know not the reason behind the act,
Shattered by the ones I sheltered
Callously, my body collapses.....
My being decimates,
Every limb and every leaf,
With smiles that lit up the barren land,
A lone crusader for hapless beings,
Adorned with blossoms galore,
Those beads disintegrate
Gradually, my being decimates......
My soul pines,
Unaware of the destiny that awaits,
As couches or to feed flames,
As pillars or weapons to destroy,
A resourceful beginning or an absurd ending,
Reminiscing those golden years
Nostalgically, my soul pines......
