A Ray Of Hope

Grey wisps of cloud, hovering,

Threatening to rattle a torn mind,

An entire universe closing in.....

A crimson sky beckons the deep, dark horizon,

Wings fluttering and seeking refuge,

Some dejected, a few pacified, others ecstatic,

Yet rushing towards solace,

With hopes of a better 'morrow......

Nothing to surpass the flickering flame,

That dissipates the engulfing gloom,

A tiny speck of optimism,

That embalms the desperate being,

With a casual wave, it casts aside,

Unknown, deeply inflicted wounds......

The breeze wafting thro' the burning yard,

The mother caressing her injured offspring,

The onset of spring post the autumn fall,

The soothing drops of rain upon the parched pavement,

The blissful giggle of innocent infant dissolving tears,

The soft petals of a vibrant bloom, cushioning the thorny bed,

A perfect outcome breaking through a cacophony of options.......

The screaming despair of a broken heart,

Clutching at remnant straws of survival,

Breaks free in retaliation,

Vowing to rectify, repurpose,

An absurd, erratic judgement.....

The morbid fear of impending destiny,

Refuses to submerge a spirited soul,

Awakening a vehement denial of negativity,

Stoking up a fire of zeal and involvement,

A tiny ray of hope is born...

And promises to endure......
