Actress
Actress
She aspired to be an actress,
For she had lived a caged life,
With her wings manacled,
By unabashed stereotype.
Yet she floundered against,
The quagmire of biased doctrines,
Of do's and don'ts scripted,
To tyrannize a woman's life.
But fate was cruel indeed,
It butchered her wings,
Halting her flight to freedom,
And brokenly she resigned.
Glancing at the night sky,
Something stuck her pixilated mind,
The stage was where she stood,
And the world her audience.
She rose from ashes to her dream,
In each role, she played,
She lived a little more than,
She had as herself.
