A night walk with you

A night walk with you

After a long day, with the weight of the world,

Through the hustle and grind, my spirit swirled.

Yet as the clock whispered, the world turned still,

A walk with you became my heart's refill.

The roads lay silent, their tales untold,

The wind's gentle whispers, a comfort to hold.

Streetlights above like stars aligned,

Their golden glow soothing my tired mind.

The sky, a canvas, with stars ablaze,

A moon so radiant, its light a gaze.

Beside me, you walked, a calm so true,

"How was your day?" you asked, and time just flew.

I spilled my thoughts, the highs and lows,

The whispers of dreams, the shadows of woes.

You listened intently, not missing a beat,

Your quiet presence, my soul's retreat.

A flick of hair danced near my face,

With gentle hands, you put it in place.

In that touch, so tender and kind,

A thousand butterflies filled my mind.

Halfway through, your fingers found mine,

A touch so subtle, yet wholly divine.

In that moment, I felt it clear,

The safest haven is when you're near.

The night grew quiet, the world at rest,

With you by my side, I felt my best.

As dawn approached, I found my reason,

To embrace life's every changing season.

With a heart renewed, I faced the day,

For in your presence, my fears fade away.

A walk, a touch, a bond so true,

Life feels brighter, just being with you.
