The Love I Never Spoke

The Love I Never Spoke

A thousand times, he asked me so,

Yet every time, I whispered, "No."

He’d smile, he’d wait, with patient eyes,

While I just hid behind goodbyes.

He spoke of love, so pure, so true,

And all I did was smile it through.

Each word he said, I held inside,

Yet never dared to stand beside.

One last time, he asked me near,

A final hope, a fleeting fear.

I laughed it off, I looked away,

Not knowing love would slip that day.

And now he’s gone, his voice is still,

No more waiting, no more will.

Oh, how it burns, this aching fate—

He made me love, but now it's too late.

The silence lingers, cold and deep,

A story lost, a wound to keep.

I search for him in empty air,

But find nothing—just my despair.
