Smiling, 

A word to represent, 

Or a word to kill, 

Are you an action that is contagious, 

An action which is deathly as well

Smiling, 

So many perspectives to it, 

Some fake it, 

While some embrace it, 

Well some have no choice but to lose it

Smiling, 

Is it a thought or an action, 

A benefit or a loss, 

Is it used for happiness or sadness, 

A real one or a fake one which I hope not

Smiling, 

A thing so mysterious, 

Leaving us with fascinating interests, 

Things that can be used 

But it’s often cruel 

Smiling, 

Am I happy?

Am I free?

Am I forced?

Am I closed?

Smiling, 

Can I express myself?

Or is it just a wound very deep

Can I smile 

Or are you just a liar as well?
