A letter to Cynthia, from above.

Watching you blossom through life,

while the structure that held me so close together turns to dust. 

As the years pass by I watch your memories of me erasing from deep folds of your heart. 

It’s the same heart that promised to love me eternally

But now has the same eternal with another promised partner. 

Perhaps, blaming you isn’t my place, however, it cannot be justified as solace. 

“Childhood sweethearts” they used to call us, however Cynthia, Cynthia oh Cynthia, it only took you a year.

A year to forget, 

A year to throw away our wedding cassette and a year to reset. 

Call me resentful at the grave, however from up here above I watch you pass every bit of me away. 

I am not with you in flesh, the least I could ask was to stay in your head.

this time is a little longer than 365 days.
