Chapter 10

The little girl started knocking on the window at the back of the car. Sandeep screamed in fear and John immediately locked the car from inside and started the engine. As they drove, they saw the little girl running beside the car, Sandeep kept screaming at John to drive faster. The little girl disappeared after a while. All 3 looked around for the girl and sighed in relief when they realised she wasn't there. John said "we should get the hell out of this place" and he tried to make a 'U' turn but the car wouldn't move. "what's happening John?" cried Sandeep in fear, John slightly opened the window of the car and checked, he leaned back on the seat murmuring under his breath "oh god". "what's wrong John?" asked Charles, "back wheel is stuck in the mud pit" replied John. "Oh no, what are we supposed to do now? It's all because of you Charles didn't I tell you not to risk our lives" yelled an angry Sandeep. John intervened "Stop that Sandeep, first let's figure out a way to get out of this place". There was a heavy gust of wind again and this time they heard a loud cry. John closed the window and tried hard to release the car from the mud pit. "John you keep trying I will get down and try to push the car" said Charles poker faceed, "No one is getting out of the car until we get out of this place". commanded John. They heard the loud cry again, but slowly faded away. and without giving up John kept trying to get the car out of the pit. This time, they heard loud laughing and snickering noises, all the doors of the car unlocked on it's own. John panicked and kept locking the car but to no avail. John heard a loud thud on his right... He saw a handprint on the fog and dust filled window of the car. their hearts were in their throat. John gave up "I don't think we can get out of this place alive..". " it's all because of me" cried Charles and Sandeep wept like a kid in fear. 

The laughter stopped.. immediately, all the windows of the car opened on its own at the same time. John tried closing the windows, but again, to his dismay.. didn't work. A hand from no where, popped up and started choking John's neck.John wailed in fear and pain. both Sandeep and Charles froze. They couldn't move. though they were an arm's reach away, they couldn't help John. John couldn't breathe, he had no hope of survival, he knew he is gonna die soon. In a flash of a second, the car was up in the air almost 10 feet above the ground. The hand that had been choking John disappeared. John kept coughing and was writhing in pain, Charles and Sandeep who could finally move asked John if he was alright. John said "do not worry about me I am fine, we are floating in the air what do we do now?" They felt the car slowly decending to the ground. John started the car and drove quickly, but he stopped with a sudden brake, the little girl was in front of the car sobbing "uncle please take me from here I am very scared, I want to go to my mom she must me waiting for me, please take me uncle" she cried to them. Charles' heart melted he said "did I not tell you she has lost her way".Sandeep too feeling bad for the little one said "yes John poor kid how much she would have struggled here, ask her where her house is. let's drop her home".but John said "no Sandeep, what's wrong with both of you!! I still doubt her, did you guys forget that she has no legs?!?!.

The little girl said "uncle I was born with no legs, please take me away from here" and she cried, John thought for a while and said no and the little girl, with a menacing smile said "if you do not want to take me, then you come with me!!!!" and shrieked loudly. John tried to start the car but he couldn't, front door of the car opened on its own. The girl caught hold of John's hair and dragged him out of the vehicle. Charles and Sandeep tried to pull him in, but failed miserably and were locked inside the car. John was thrown up in the air, he fell to the floor and was thrown up again, he was floating in the air again he cried for help, both Charles and Sandeep were trying hard to get out of the car and help John but they couldn't. All of a sudden, John felt a force pulling him back into the vehicle.the engine started on it's own and drove off. John looked at Charles in shock and exclaimed " it's moving on its own". "looks like the car is possessed!! let's jump out" said a panicking Sandeep. The minute he said that doors were locked, John kept trying to control the car but he couldn't, car kept going and all three were holding on to their dear lives! Few minutes into the drive, they realised they were in the entrance of the forest, car stopped on its own, they didn't know what was going on. John tried to start the car finally worked. they rushed away from there.. All three spoke nothing to each other, they feared that whatever possessed the car was still with them. they heard someone's phone was ringing,it was Charles'. He took out the phone, it was his wife, wiping away his sweat he answered the call," where are you guys?" She asked; "We will reach in sometime" said Charles, "do you know how long we've been trying to get to the three of you, none of your mobiles are reachable" said Alice, "sorry I think there was no network in that place, we will be there soon" replied Charles, "it's 2:30AM Charles you could've at least informed anyone of us, do you know how worried we were?" said Alice; "did I not tell you I will reach in sometime don't keep yelling into the phone, we will reach in an hour" said Charles and disconnected the call.

"It's 2:30 John, that means we were in that forest for more than 5 hours" said Charles. "yes what a horrible experience it was, I can't believe we are alive, I seriously thought I was gonna die when the ghost choked me" said John. "ohh Sandeep and I felt like someone tied us to our seats.we couldn't move our hands to reach you and I still wonder how we came out of that forest alive".said Charles." I think some super natural power helped us get out of there" said John. "Why are you quite Sandeep?" asked John. "Oh yes what happened Sandeep? are you upset with me?" asked Charles but they did not get any response from Sandeep, they both turned to check what was he upto and they saw him sitting in the corner and still shivering, John stopped the car and called out Sandeep's name, no response again. Charles felt his forehead and said "John he's burning up, looks like he's running a temperature. John shook him to get some sort of reaction from him. Sandeep slowly looked up, his eyes grew wide with fear. GHOST!!! He screamed . John tried to calm him down "there is no ghost here Sandeep we are safe now.you're running a temperature. Let's get you to a hospital first" and started the engine. Sandeep said "no John, take me back to resort first, my fever will reduce only when I forget what we experienced today.medicines will not help. let's head back to the resort. and first thing in the morning we should go to a temple, church or mosque. John said "fine Sandeep you lay down on the seat and try to relax untill we reach.John whispered"oh no I still feel like there is someone sitting beside me". With a jerk John stopped the car and looked behind.....
