Silhouette Of Treachery
Silhouette Of Treachery
Your infidelity tiptoes towards me,
Casting eerie shadows on my conscience,
It wraps its hands around my neck
And strangulates me.
I swallow a nervous whimper
And take a step back.
But your impudence reaches out
And sinks its stealthy sharp talons
Into my fragile bones
Seemingly penetrating my very being.
Your memories start to whirl around my feet,
Trying to suck me into the pernicious past.
As the Autumn wind howls,
I scream but the words whisk off
From my lips in the overwhelming blackness.
I am slowly drowned
Into the stygian sea of slumbering evil.
