The Fiery Orange
The Fiery Orange
The embellished meanings of
Each of these nine days,
Portraying the infinite beauty
Our culture was supposed to image,
The pearls of fire
Goddess Durga wears in her attire
Burning the demons of society
To keep hope alive in the realms of deity.
The crown of knowledge
she holds on her head,
Still her followers are stuck
With their own pledge
of gluing their eyelashes blinded.
The message of the colour, orange
Seeks from the society to change,
To sacrifice the perceptions, weary and rusted
And hold on the novice amalgamated.
