A Promise To Mother India

Oh my dear mother, my India

My mother, protector, and my god!

My heartbeat, life, and war are you

No words can thank a mother so true.

The mother of thousands, lacs and crores

The mother of rich and the poorest of poor,

To me and thousands you are the one

A goddess of culture and a friend of fun!

You give us all our daily need

But do we ever pay heed?

As to what a mother wants from us?

A mother, a giver with a heart enormous?

We don't think of giving anything !!!

But we don't mind before taking anything!

But as your child, today I will say loud and clear

That what you want my mother so dear ...

You want no war, destruction at all!

You want your children to be happiest of all

Man, animal, bird, and fish

You want us to be kind-hearted and childish.

You want no pollution at all!

You want your children to breathe the cleanest air of all!

So my mother, today I promise you

A day will come when you will too

Get all your wishes and dreams fulfilled

By me and the new generation who are my colleagues!
