When Hina asked the reason, Nipun replied bluntly, “I have to live my life to the fullest. A great life is never easy, and I don’t want to waste my time to earn it when there are easy ways to achieve it. You are my past, now I have to secure my future.”

He wanted to be free. He wanted to travel abroad and live a luxury life, which was not possible in his hard earned salary. He would tend to take shortcuts in life, this time also, he chose Meher over Hina, as Meher belonged to a very rich family. He knew it very well that any traditional route to make life happy would be long, tiring and likely to fail.

His decision to marry Meher would rescue him from all the hard work, which he would have to do otherwise.

He was no more Hina’s hero now. She wanted to pity him more than hate, knowing his miserable attitude towards life. Hina was not sure whether she was right or wrong, but certainly, Nipun was wrong. She was rejected, she was betrayed, but she was relieved much more, to leave such a relationship, such an insensitive person. The rejection and betrayal didn’t make her inferior, in fact, she felt superior to him.

Nipun always looked for the easy route. He constantly looked for shortcuts in every task that he did. He always wanted to do things that would lead him directly to the result. For him, everything else was a waste of time.

He made a lot of money in a very short span. He never cared about the route that he followed. He was filling his life’s baggage with sins.

Looking for shortcuts in life ended up that day when as usual, Nipun was driving on the wrong side of the road to reach earlier. But the high-speed truck couldn’t apply brakes instantly, and misfortune happened. In those critical hours, when he saw the death arriving slowly towards him, he became self-aware and learned much more that could not be explained. It brought him to something more valuable than money – the righteousness. He realized the journey is far superior to the destination.

God’s greatness has no limits. God gave Nipun another chance in life. Soon, he was out of danger, to walk the right path, to become a righteous man.
