Wrong Number...
Wrong Number...
CAROLINE HUDGE'S POV
"Ughhhh, I am bored... why don't we do something fun?" asked Rosy. "Like what?" I asked. "Wait.. I have an idea. Let us do a prank call. It will be fun." Prank call sounded fun. But I didn't want somebody to report my number to the police station. "Ok. But on one condition. You will take full blame if anything bad happens." I said. "Whatever. Come on, let us do it."
"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please trying again later. BEEP!" the phone said. "Ok, let us try another number. I got it. Copy this phone number fast Caroline." I rolled my eyes. From the past twenty minutes she was giving me phone numbers to call. No one was picking up. "Rosy, this is the last number I am gonna dial." I dialed the phone number. "BEEP..BEEP..BEEP.. Hello?" came the voice from the phone. It was a gruff voice, belonging to a man, who most probably belonged to the late thirtys or early forties. "Ummm. Is this Stefan Gorridge?" I lamely asked trying to make a conversation. "Wrong number.... I am Davon Talewok, and I certainly don't know who is this Stefan you are talking about. Wrong number..
BEEP..BEEP..BEEP.". The line went dead. "He cut the call, Rosy. This is getting boring. Let's stop and do something else." I grumbled. "NO.. Let me try.." Saying this she randomly tapped some buttons and pressed the call button. "Hello?" she asked. Then her face went pale. She started trembling and shaking, and dropped the phone on my bedstand. "What happened??" I asked worriedly. "Nothing.." She said, still trembling. "I don't wanna talk about it." "Are you sure Rosy?' I asked.. "Yes I am sure. Don't worry." she replied but her tone sounded like she was convincing herself. "Look.. I am going. Okay.. We never had this conversation". Saying this she went and picked up her coat and left. As soon as she left I called the number shed had called earlier. "BEEP..BEEP..BEEP.. Wrong number ....." thus saying the line went dead. And the next day Rosy was found dead in her bedroom..
