Here comes the whooly mammoth

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a man named Duncan. He was very happy recently as he got a degree in history. He was now a historian. His mother and father were very happy with him. They had organized a secret party for his success. But, Duncan just got an appointment from an old man called Doris. He rushed to the place as it was his first case, and he wanted to pass it with flying colors. The man was very old, with a very long, white beard. He seemed very restless. He ran to Duncan and started his story."I live here with my granddaughter. Once she had plucked a rose from the garden which was a source for bad luck. The next day she was not seen.
