Women's Day

The eight'th day in the month of March is celebrated as International Women's Day. However I never understood the significance of this day and why is it registered as women's day. What I have seen for this day is small celebration in offices, dress code for this day, some vouchers, discount coupons or freebies or a half day from work for office goers or some treats to women's. It's just a jesture to make women's special on a single day. But do we really look for these or need this.

Real women's day will be the day of freedom.

Freedom of sharing thoughts with anyone in family or with friends, freedom to relax, to roam around, free from responsibilities and duty of a mother, a wife a daughter or daughter in-law, free from office work and tensions ,free from all house hold chores , free to manage everything. Just one single day in a year if a women gets freedom will be a women's day
