Colin’s POW

Colin and Adina went upstairs to their apartment. Colin was expecting the place to look different. He didn’t know in what way. But his mate had moved her things in to their apartment and he enjoyed the thought of being surrounded by her things. That the place would meld them together by melding their things together.

But as he opened the door, letting his mate walk through first and doing his best not to ogle her ass, he realized nothing had changed. He felt a bit confused. Was this part of her insistence that she wouldn’t remain in the pack? Had she refused to unpack? Standing in the middle of the room thinking about it, he decided not to say anything just yet.

He didn’t want to press the subject, for now. But he would make sure Adina got over the idea of leaving. They were mates. She belonged to him. Her place was with him. The idea of her being in another pack, alone, with other wolves made his wolf go crazy, and he almost gave in to the urge to pick up something and smash it.

“I’m going to take a shower,” Adina said and, like magic, his brain went completely blank except for an image of Adina naked.

Hot water dripping down her body, her lips slightly parted and her face lit up with a smile as she beckoned him to come closer. The image made him instantly hard. He swallowed with difficulty, walked up to her, and let his arms engulf her from behind.

“Want company?” he whispered into her ear and smiled as he felt a shiver go through her.

“Don’t get any ideas,” she said after taking a couple of deep breaths.

“Too late babe, already have them. Very graphic, want me to describe them?” he chuckled, still keeping his voice low and letting his lips almost touch her ear.

Adina exhaled loudly, almost sounding like a moan, and Colin was more than happy with how she reacted to him. He placed a soft kiss just below her ear and was rewarded by a shaky inhale of air from Adina. Colin smiled and let his lips slowly brush along her skin, down to the place where her neck met her shoulder. Adina had tilted her head slightly, allowing him access.

“Colin,” Adina said.

“Yes, babe,” he whispered against her skin.

“I’m taking a shower,” and after a pause, “Alone,” she finished. Colin felt his body and his wolf object vividly. But he had promised.

“Sure babe,” he said, loosening his embrace and placing a small kiss on top of her head.

“In you go. The towels are in the cabinet just to the left” he tried to sound relaxed and pushed her gently towards the bathroom, but he was far from relaxed.

Adina turned around and looked at him.

“Thank you,” she said, and Colin got the feeling she wasn’t talking about the towels.

“Anything for you,” he said and watched her walk into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

He waited a while, and when he didn’t hear the lock, he smiled. That was something, at least. She felt secure enough around him not to lock the door. He would take it as a victory, he thought as he walked into the walk-in closet to take out a new pair of pants and a shirt for the dinner.

Colin would use the shower when his little mate was done. He looked at the few items of clothing she had hung on her side of the closet, the side he always kept empty, waiting for his mate. She didn’t want to unpack all her belongings, but this was just ridiculous, he thought with a frown. She couldn’t live out of suitcases for thirteen months.

He needed to talk to her. Colin walked out of the closet, tossing the shirt and pants he collected on the bed. He gently knocked on the bathroom door.

“Babe, where are your clothes?” he asked.

“In the wardrobe,” he heard her over the sound of the running shower. She sounded a bit confused. “I hope it was okay to hang them up,” she added.

“Yeah, of course. That’s why I left it empty. But where are the rest?” Colin said. He was ready to hang the dammed things himself to show her he was serious about this being her home, as well as his.

“Eh, that’s all of them,” she answered, and he could hear the shower turning off.

He stood leaning against the doorframe, surprised. Fortunately, the door opened inward because Adina opened it, saw him standing with his arm resting on the doorframe above her. She squeezed by him, dressed in just a towel with her hair wrapped in another.

Colin watched her cross the room towards the closet. He watched how the towel left bare skin at the top of her breasts and her ass almost wasn’t covered. He shook his head to make it function again and followed her into the closet.

“What do you mean, that this is all of it?”

“It is, this is all of my clothes. Well, except for my panties and bras and socks. Those are in that chest of draws,“ she said, pointing at a chest of draws close by the door on her side of the closet.

Trying to not focus on the comment of her panties and bras, Colin looked at her. She saw the look he gave her and then her clothes that were hanging on a few hangers, taking up only maybe a sixth of the space.

“Constantly moving makes you limit your wardrobe,” she explained. “I have what I need and I’m assuming you have a washing machine somewhere in this place”

“We do. We even got a dryer,” Colin said with a smile. “But you should really fill up your space a bit,” he said, looking from her side to his.

His side was well stocked with different clothes. Adina laughed as she followed his gaze.

“Are you feeling self-conscious because you have more clothes than me?” she asked, amused.

“No, not the least,” Colin defended himself, and then he got a great idea. “I’m going to treat you to a shopping spree, little dove. Take Julia and go wild in town tomorrow. My treat,” he said, feeling satisfied that he could provide for his mate.

“You don’t need to do that. I can more than manage with what I have. And Sean will be miserable if I drag him around clothing stores all day.” Adina objected.

“A bonus,” Colin smirked. “I insist, and I will let Julia know during dinner. If I know her, she will be thrilled. She seemed to get along with you. It has been hard for her to make friends with some of the she-wolves”.

Adina looked uncertain, but didn’t object. Colin retreated before she would get the chance to add more objections.

“I’m heading for the shower. I won’t object to company,” he informed her with a wink.
